Overview
In Quicken for Windows, you may find your menu bar missing, a drop-down item missing, or the Menu seems doubled or superimposed.
You might also find Quicken menu fonts are too large or change. This is cause by modifying the user settings on Windows under Window Color and Appearance options.
To resolve this issue
Before you troubleshoot outside the program, look under the View menu (if you see it) and verify Use Large Fonts is unchecked. If it's checked, uncheck it and see if the problem goes away. If it doesn't, let's move on. (Note: The steps provided will only affect Quicken.)
Try adjusting the register fonts:
- Go to Edit > Preferences.
- Select Register from the list in the left panel.
- Click the Fonts button.
- In the Choose Register Font dialog, you can change to a different font and adjust the size.
Try overriding the scaling for Quicken:
- Right-click the Quicken icon on your desktop and select Open file location.
- Right-click the qw.exe file and select Properties.
- Select the Compatibility tab.
- Click Change high DPI settings.
- Check the box for Override high DPI scaling behavior and set the Scaling performed by to Application.
- Click OK.
Try changing other settings in the Compatibility tab:
Before attempting these steps, be sure to make note of the settings you currently have selected.
While in the Compatibility tab mentioned in the steps above, try unchecking all the boxes. If this doesn't resolve the issue, click the Change high DPI settings button and uncheck the boxes in that screen.
If the issue is still not resolved, try the steps below.
