Job Summary: 

We are looking for a seasoned QA professional with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to testing. The Senior QA Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our Windows Quicken application. Responsibilities: 
  • Act as an advocate for the end-user by ensuring that the Quicken windows application meets their needs, expectations, and usability standards.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for testing Windows desktop applications, ensuring coverage of all functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Create detailed and well-structured test cases to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of the Quicken application. Continuously update these test cases, findings, and test artifacts accurately and comprehensively.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases to identify defects and ensure the quality of the desktop application. Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing as required.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Windows App Driver to automate repetitive test scenarios.
  • Identify, report, and track software defects using Jira throughout the software development lifecycle. Work closely with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues.
  • Conduct performance testing to assess the responsiveness, scalability, and stability of the desktop application under various load conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and technical support to understand requirements, clarify issues, and ensure alignment on quality goals.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and QA trends. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to junior QA team members. Share knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the QA team.
Qualifications: 
  • Self-starter attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for quality assurance activities. Ability to work independently and proactively identify and address testing challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and management.
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of proven working experience in manual and automation testing of Windows/Desktop-based applications.
  • Strong understanding of the QA process and a testing mindset to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.
  • Experience in planning and executing test activities, including test case design, test execution, defect tracking and reporting.
  • Hands-on knowledge of automated testing for Windows, web, and mobile applications. Ability to develop and implement test automation frameworks, guidelines, and standards to streamline the automation process.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
